WhiteFlag Project Brings the Middle East to DC
This Saturday (Dec 5) the WhiteFlag Project, a band comprising of Israeli and Palestinian Street Fusion Musicians from Gaza and Tel Aviv, will be leading a workshop and putting on a concert at Georgetown to further the discussion and debate on the Israeli/Palestinian issue.
The workshop, titled “Freedom, Respect and the Art of Musical Compromise: Tools for Conflict Transformation in Israel and Palestine” will take place in Sellinger Lounge at 7 p.m., followed by a concert at 8:30 p.m.
The event is co-sponsored by the Office of the President, the Berkley Center, CCAS, Program on Conflict Resolution, Diversity Action Council, GUSA, Georgetown Israel Alliance, and Students for Justice in Palestine.
