Jeff Morshed
Conferences Coordinator

BIO
Jeff is the Conferences Coordinator this year for Georgetown's Model UN program. He will lead the traveling team outside of Georgetown to other schools and conferences, looking to repeat last year's success once more. Jeff is a sophomore in the School of Foreign Service, though he is currently undecided about his major. He is from Edison, NJ, where he was actively involved in his high school Model UN program. He is also a USG in Georgetown IRC's high school Model UN conference, NAIMUN. Outside of the IRC, Jeff is very involved in Georgetown's Muslim Student Organization and Lecture Fund. He loves basketball, hip-hop, movies, and sleeping. If you know him, then you'll probably catch him taking a nap daily.

MESSAGE
Welcome to the Conferences Program in the International Relations Club! My name is Jeff Morshed, this year's Conferences Coordinator. One of the many things the IRC participates in are Model UN conferences hosted by other universities throughout the United States. In the last year, we witnessed a tremendous surge in Georgetown's MUN team, with a competitive power that won us 5 out of 6 conferences we traveled to. We defeated teams such as Harvard, Yale, Penn, West Point, and UVA, some of the premier teams and schools in the US. What makes the Conferences Program so appealing is how it allows members of the IRC to get a chance to experience a new environment for a weekend, with a set of close friends, while remaining immersed in competitive and fun debates. IRC members come home from each conference with life-long memories. I hope to make this year as successful as last year, and I encourage you all to join the Conferences Program.
